What are the performance advantages of rock slabs?

Compared to traditional ceramic panel products, the production requirements for rock panels are very high. Based on data provided by various parties, as of June 2019, there have been over 30 production lines for ceramic large plates (900 × 1800mm and above) in China, and only 4 production lines capable of producing 1200 × 2400mm and above specifications.

It must be pointed out that ceramic large plates ≠ rock plates, and enterprises that can produce large plates may not necessarily be able to produce rock plates. Compared to ceramic large plates, rock plates can be drilled, polished, and more convenient to cut, making them suitable for various shapes. Although ceramic large plates have similar shapes to rock plates, there are certain differences in material characteristics and functions.

As a new type of material, compared to other traditional materials, rock slabs have eight major advantages:

(1) Safe and hygienic: able to come into direct contact with food, pure natural ingredients, 100% recyclable, non-toxic and radiation free, while fully considering the needs of human sustainable development, healthy and environmentally friendly.

(2) Fire resistance and high temperature resistance: Rock slabs with A1 level fire resistance will not deform in direct contact with high-temperature objects. When exposed to an open flame at 2000 ℃, they will not undergo any physical changes (shrinkage, rupture, discoloration), nor will they emit any gas or odor.

(3) Anti fouling: A water permeability rate of one in ten thousand is a new indicator in the field of artificial building materials, where stains cannot penetrate and do not provide space for bacteria to grow.

(4) Scratch and abrasion resistance: With a Mohs hardness of over 6 degrees, it can resist scratches and attempts to scrape.

(5) Corrosion resistance: resistant to various chemical substances, including solutions, disinfectants, etc.

(6) Easy to clean: Simply wipe with a damp towel to clean, no special maintenance requirements, simple and fast cleaning.

(7) Versatile application: Breaking through application boundaries, advancing from decorative materials to applied materials, designing, processing, and applying more diverse and extensive, meeting high standard application needs.
